Three Day Weekend Homework

I hope you guys are ready for break!
Since we have a three day weekend, I'm giving an assignment.
Along with finishing the book, I want you guys to write an essay for the following prompt:

"Setting is crucial to any story as to the development of a character. Salinger sets the bulk of the story of Franny and Zooey in the bathroom. What does the setting of the bathroom do to drive the characters of Bessie and Zooey? What does it say about each of them individually? What does it say about their relationship to each other?"

This essay cannot be any shorter than 2 pages.
You will need to quote specific passages to support your point.
If there are any questions COMMENT!
You guys should get used to using each others' help and feedback.

Here you will find the reason why you should not be mandated to show up to class (just kidding) and these links will help you get by for the semester.

Posts here will be strictly supplemental to class learning and discussion. Also, if you miss homework assignments, they will be posted here along with lesson notes and other miscellaneous announcements and good reads.

I will mandate that you frequent this site. It contains all the information you will need for the following class. It is not necessary to respond to everything I post. HOWEVER! I suggest that you look through posts and watch/read/review all content postings because it will further your learning in the class and school. A bonus will be you can get extra participation points for knowing.

Throughout the semester we have together, I would like for you to submit your own works to the student site (which can be located at the top of the page). Again, it is crucial that you keep up with assignments and posts so you are not lost in class. Your participation on here is not mandated but will be considered when getting down to final grading.

If for any reason you are not able to access the site at home, all postings will be sent to an email address that you have provided (or will set up) in order to ensure you are keeping up.
